“Oh Sophie”

Oh Sophie, how I miss seeing your tiny face, so sweet

Oh Sophie, I knew you were the one when you first kissed my feet

Oh Sophie, how I miss your snuggles

Oh Sophie, how I miss your cuddles

Oh Sophie, you were faithful in every season

Oh Sophie, God put you in my life in 2016 for a reason

Oh Sophie, how I miss your smell

Oh Sophie, how I miss your “yell” Oh Sophie, how I miss your growl

Oh Sophie, how I miss your scowl

Oh Sophie, how I miss seeing you curled up in my lap

Oh Sophie, how I miss watching you take a nap

Oh Sophie, how I miss seeing you on a pile of warm clothes

Oh Sophie, how I miss “booping” your sweet, little, wet nose

Oh Sophie, how I miss taking you for a walk

Oh Sophie, how I miss the way that your eyes could “talk”

Oh Sophie, how I miss having you around for every tear

Oh Sophie, how I miss seeing you curled up like a baby deer

Oh Sophie, how I miss watching you jump

Oh Sophie, how I miss you being a little grump

Oh Sophie, how I miss your sass

Oh Sophie, how I miss seeing you sprawled out on the grass

Oh Sophie, how I miss your squeaks

Oh Sophie, how I miss the times when you wouldn’t even say a peep

Oh Sophie, how I miss hearing your tiny feet “tap”

Oh Sophie, how I miss seeing you jump between couches, and shooting the gap

Oh Sophie, how I miss seeing you run and hide

Oh Sophie, how I miss waking up and letting you first outside

Oh Sophie, how I miss calling you my little “bean”

Oh Sophie, how I miss our daily rhythm and routine

Oh Sophie, how I miss watching you eat

Oh Sophie, how I miss giving you all the treats

Oh Sophie, how I miss hearing your kibble crunch

Oh Sophie, how I miss seeing your little mouth “munch”

Oh Sophie, how I miss hearing your little tongue lap water

Oh Sophie, how I miss treating you like my little daughter

Oh Sophie, how I miss you being there through thick and thin

Oh Sophie, how I miss seeing your snaggle tooth through your grin
Oh Sophie, how I miss you making me laugh

Oh Sophie, how I miss giving your little warm body a bath

Oh Sophie, how I miss dressing you in your little clothes

Oh Sophie, how I miss smelling your delicious frito toes
Oh Sophie, how I miss feeling you on my chest

Oh Sophie, how I miss you unconditionally loving me at my worst and my best

Oh Sophie, you made little noises like a mouse

Oh Sophie, how your vibrant personality could light up a three-story house

Oh Sophie, our home is now oh so quiet

Oh Sophie, you were so small, but the imprint you left on our hearts was giant

Oh Sophie, how I miss you sleeping every night between my legs

Oh Sophie, how I miss eating breakfast with you, and sharing some of my eggs

Oh Sophie, how you disliked the noise our lips made when we gave you a “smooch”

Oh Sophie, you were a unique, irreplaceable pooch

Oh Sophie, how I miss watching your little tail wag

Oh Sophie, how I miss watching you jump into your travel bag

Oh Sophie, how I miss watching you be in charge

Oh Sophie, your body was so small, but your courage was so large

Oh Sophie, how often were you misunderstood

Oh Sophie, you enriched our lives with such livelihood

Oh Sophie, you were so fierce and loyal

Oh Sophie, you were the one I’d love to spoil

Oh Sophie, how I miss you playing with your squeaky toy

Oh Sophie, how I miss you bossing around Hercules Boi

Oh Sophie, peanut butter, chicken, and cheese were your favorite words

Oh Sophie, how I miss watching you chase the squirrels and the birds

Oh Sophie, how I miss you leaping over our front ledge

Oh Sophie, how the buzzing sound of flies put you on edge

Oh Sophie, when you would walk, your little feet would “skip”

Oh Sophie, how I miss you on my lap during a road trip

Oh Sophie, how I miss comforting you during a thunder storm

Oh Sophie, every spot you laid in, you left nice and warm

Oh Sophie, how I miss serving you milk out of a glass

Oh Sophie, how I miss petting you, and how the time would quickly pass

Oh Sophie, how I miss you greeting me at the door

Oh Sophie, how I wish I could pick you up just once more

Oh Sophie, how your time came far too soon

Oh Sophie, how I’ll miss you as my shadow, following me into every room

Oh Sophie, how I miss seeing your little body curled up on our bed

Oh Sophie, how September 23rd, 2026 was the very day that I dread

Oh Sophie, how I miss seeing you layout in the sun

Oh Sophie, I can be at rest knowing that you are in the arms of The Son
