Obituary For Athena Tesla Schmit

Athena Tesla Schmit
December 17, 2016 – March 7, 2026
Athena Tesla Schmit, our beloved Italian Mastiff and cherished family member, crossed the rainbow bridge peacefully at home on March 7, 2026, surrounded by the love of her brother Odin and her devoted parents and human brother,She was 9 years old.
Born on December 17, 2016, Athena entered our lives as a bundle of joy- she was intelligent, loyal and protector. From the moment she joined our family, she brought light, laughter, and an unbreakable bond with her family. With her striking presence, keen mind, and gentle heart, she was more than a dog—she was our guardian, our adventure partner, and our constant source of joy.

Athena lived every day with enthusiasm: whether tearing up couches, standing watch over the house with quiet vigilance, eating socks, and chewing up boots(only the left one) or simply curling up beside us during quiet evenings, she gave her whole self -every moment. She shared countless memories with her brother Odin—from playful chases and sibling rivalries to quiet moments of comfort and companionship. Together they were a team. Her name AthenaTesla captured her perfectly: wise and powerful like the goddess of wisdom and courage, brilliant and electric like the inventor she was named after.

She lived up to both—fiercely protective yet tender, endlessly curious yet steady in her love.
Though our time with her was far too short at only nine years, those years were filled with more love, adventure, and happiness than many experience in a lifetime. Athena taught us about unconditional love, resilience, and the pure joy of simply being together.
She leaves behind her heartbroken but grateful family- Jason, Angel, Trenton and Bryton, her brother Odin, he will miss his constant companion. We will forever carry her paw prints on our hearts.
Rest easy, sweet Athena. You were loved beyond measure, and you will be remembered always. Until we meet again, run free, our beautiful girl.
