7 Short Years but the Best Years.

There will forever be a piece of the Troxel's in the Black Hills in South Dakota. Gus fought a 3 1/2 year battle with lyphoma he was treated at CSU Vet Hospital once or twice a month with infusions. He rallied and made it on one last camping trip to the Black Hills last week to Swim in Spearfish Creek and enjoyed one last campfire. He died in my arms as I held him one last time. Gus our Beautiful baby boy I am going to miss you so much until I see you again. I know besides meeting God you ran to see your pal Buddy. We are going to miss your cuddles and your Deep Deep Bark. We are already looking behind the chairs and the beds where we would check for you daily, your favorite hiding spots. Found myself saying "heeeeeereree" This morning as we would always say when we wanted you. We are going to miss throwing your stick at night and diving for rocks in the summer. We will miss getting you to talk to us by saying "Whats the matter Gus" you would whine and make a sound almost like you were forming words. When the time strikes 5:00 I will always think of you, you would always come get me, "sis it is dinner time". I am going to miss looking out on the back step in the morning seeing you watch the birds looking like you are drinking your morning coffee.
Who is going to carry around the biggest fluffiest toys around, even though they were 3 times the size of your mouth. Mom is going to miss you in the Kitchen for cooking and Midnight snacks and Dad in the Truck for rides. Sissy Will miss you when mowing the backyard and working in the garden.

Bear your little brother is already lost without you constantly checking the bedrooms and front and back door looking for you. I will miss playing endless Frisbee with you as that was your favorite.

We will wonder where to put the sticks we pick up in the yard as we put them in the tree for you to go grab to chew and play with until pulverized.

We will miss you at the top of the stairs every morning waiting for a kiss or waiting to shake your paw.

Favorite Places: Spearfish Creek, Front Yard, Lake Minitare, Wide Open Fields where he Could Sniff and Run

Favorite Toys: Golf Head Cover Quail, Stick, Anything Big and Fluffy, Anything from Aunt Dianna, Ball, and his Frisbee.

Favorite things to Do: Go for a Walk, Go for a Ride, Go for a Run by the Truck, Go Swimming, Go for Bubble Bath, Play Frisbee, Trick his Brother, Hunt East Eggs, Open Christmas Presents, Dress up for Halloween, Cuddle in the big King Bed.

Where he Slept: On the King Bed (The Cloud), Underneath Sissy's Bed, on the Couch, or he loved laying in the Sun by the front door or out by the bird feeders.

Favorite Treats: Chicken, Turkey, Ham, MilkBones, Greenies, and Sweet Potatoes

Favorite Show: Dr. Pol and Yukon Vet

Did not like: Loud Noises, Rollaway Trash Cans, or Yelling!

No more pills, no more syringe food and water, no more dressings, no more needles, and no more infusions. Now you can go back to running and playing and back to being a healthy pup and have fun with Buddy and all the other family we have lost.

We Love You GUS to the Moon and Back Baby! Until I can see and Hug you again. Our Sweet Sweet lovingly boy! We will miss you! I will always always hear that Jingle from your collar! Love You Gussy! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
