Obituary For Jonah Wales Van Ommeren

Jonah was an amazing fur baby. His small size was amplified by his huge personality. His big heart was reflected through all the kisses he was ready to offer.

Anyone could see he was truly in charge of every situation, and without a doubt, he was going to make sure everyone understood. Wether a protective bark, or a more serious snarl was required, every occasion was meet with his fierce dedication to protecting Mom.

Jonah also had an exciting and adventurous spirit. One of his favorite activities was going for car rides. You need only ask once and you were now committed to this small adventure. He would then be found waiting by the door. Other times he would be pacing through the house with his unmistakable look on his furry face that we always interpreted to be, "Hurry up, we've got places to go." Jonah always knew that the ride would likely include a picnic, Culver's custard or stopping to eat somewhere. As long as he was along is what truly mattered to Jonah.

Other times you would find him enjoying an off road experience in the SXS. You would always find Jonah front and center in his very own personalized luxary console seat booster. He sure seemed to enjoy the speed and adrenaline as he would often be standing on the edge of his seat with a focused look forward with the wind and dust in his face.

Jonah also had a passion for 2 wheels. On a warm sunny day you would find him enjoying the wind in his face as he rode on the back of Dad's motorcycle. He would always draw plenty of "Ohs.....and Awes" from bystanders expressing how adorable he was. He was never much of a fan of his riding goggles though. He would sport them for photos, which were many, but was anxious to have them removed with that gleaming sparkle in his eye saying "Get these silly things off of me."

Jonah had such a strong, powerful loving personality. It was clearly apparent that Mom, was first and foremost #1. He had such a calming and dedicated spirit, expressing his care, concern and often times tiny healing kisses. "His spot" was Mom's lap, or on the recliner snuggled on the blanket taking one of his many naps.

Mama's baby......Daddy's buddy. For 13+ years Jonah, you have filled our lives with your love, tenacity and undeniable dedication. We thank you for the greatest of times and the many beautiful memories. You will forever be cherished and never forgotten.

We love you Jonah Wales.
