Max was the best boy. Yes, he ate library books and the Thanksgiving potatoes, and his burps, poops and snores were large. But his gentle presence and the love he gave and received were much, much larger. The house is too empty without his sweet gentle presence, and there's a Max-sized hole in my heart, but I know he'll be waiting to greet me again in the big beyond.
