MWD Onur was born, 24 January 2011. Onur was a USAF explosive detection and patrol dog who served his time at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. Onur provided protection from potential explosive threats for the President of the United States, and Vice President , deployed to the Middle East several times in support of contingency operations. Onur was retired from the USAF in January of 2020 due to medical reasons.

He spent his 3 years of retirement alongside his 2 dog brothers and sister who he loved to play keep away with when it came to his toys. He enjoyed sofa surfing and laying in the grass with his favorite kong, no matter what the weather. Onur’s owners made sure he received the best medical pain relief available including weekly laser treatments and acupuncture. He was the definition of man’s best friend and a great addition to the family. He will be missed immensely and remembered for his loyalty and companionship.
